Macaronic Sound Machine offers a palette of more diverse sounds to those heard on dr trippy's previous releases. The enforced closure of live music venues created more time to explore and experiment with instruments and equipment which, pre-Covid, had been slowly gathering dust in the studio. However, the songs retain the same playful bringing together of different vocal and global languages and styles – a musical contribution to macaronic verse poetry, if you will.
